Privacy Policy

World Note (“the app”) is a desktop application developed by TripleRed Studio (“we”, “us”). This page explains how the app handles your information.
In short: World Note runs on your own device. It has no accounts, no analytics, and never uploads your content. The only times it uses the network are platform-store purchases/updates and a one-time redeem-code activation, both described below.
Information we collect
Section titled “Information we collect”World Note has no user accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising. We do not collect personal information, with one narrow exception: the one-time redeem-code activation described under “Purchases and redeem codes.”
Your content stays on your device
Section titled “Your content stays on your device”All content you create in World Note — maps, regions, markers, terrain, images, linked documents, and settings — is stored locally on your device, either in folders you choose or in the app’s local storage. This content is never uploaded to us or to any third party.
Network use
Section titled “Network use”World Note works offline. Your content — maps, regions, markers, terrain, images, documents, and settings — is never sent over the internet. The app connects to the network in only two cases: (1) app updates and in-app purchases, handled by the platform store (Apple App Store or Microsoft Store) under their own privacy policies; and (2) a one-time redeem-code activation, described below.
Purchases and redeem codes
Section titled “Purchases and redeem codes”- In-app purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Microsoft Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. Please refer to Apple’s and Microsoft’s privacy policies for how they handle purchase data.
- Redeem codes (for example, for crowdfunding backers) are activated once, online. When you enter a code, the app sends the code together with a random per-install device identifier and a device name (your computer’s hostname) to our activation service, so the unlock can be bound to your devices and a shared code can’t be reused without limit. You can view and deactivate your devices in Settings → Billing. We store only that device identifier, device name, and activation timestamps — no account and none of your content. After activation, the app verifies the unlock entirely offline.
Children
Section titled “Children”World Note is a general-audience creative tool. It does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
Third-party sharing
Section titled “Third-party sharing”We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own use. The minimal activation data described above is processed only by us, through our hosting provider, to operate the unlock.
Changes to this policy
Section titled “Changes to this policy”If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
