Tools and shortcuts

Select the tool to use on the map by clicking it in the bottom toolbar or with its shortcut.

Tools

Tool	Key	What it does
Select	V	Selects and moves regions and markers.
Pan	H or hold Space	Drags the map around.
Draw region	R	Creates regions by free drawing or brush add/subtract.
Magic wand	W	Creates a region that fits the terrain inside a lasso.
Place marker	M	Places a marker with the selected icon.
Brush	T	Paints terrain and more in Background edit mode.
Ruler	L	Measures distances on the map.

Global shortcuts

Key	What it does
Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y	Undo / redo
Ctrl+P	Open a file with the quick switcher
F	Fit the view to the selection
[ / ]	Shrink / grow the brush

Shortcuts can be changed in the Shortcuts tab of Settings and apply to every project.
