Filling a region with an image
A single region can be filled with an image: a hand-drawn map, a texture, an illustration, anything. The image is clipped to the region’s shape.
-
Select the region and click Edit fill in the style panel that appears. Right-clicking the region in the map hierarchy works too.
-
Once in fill editing, select the Image tool. The same image library as Background edit appears on the right.
-
Double-click a tile to put the image into the region fill.
-
Placed images can be moved, resized, rotated, and adjusted for opacity and tint.
Region fill images are stored on that region, separate from global background images. If an image is not in the library yet, add it to the library first.
To draw by hand instead of adding an image, use the fill brush.
